The Band

Inspired by a genre known as thrash-metal and bands such as Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and Machine Head; Wasted Shells combines the elements of heaviness, speed, aggression, and their own little taste of melancholy.
The band took its first baby-steps back in 2006 but was reformed in late 2010, when band members decided that this band needs to be taken seriously. So with a few line-up changes and the release of the debut album “The Debt” (2011), the band has since started to make their impression on the Swedish metal scene. The album received great reviews, among them were Sweden Rock Magazine who gave the album 7 out of 10.

"Wasted Shells is first and foremost a live band, and as one journalist wrote after having seen the band live; “from the first chord to the last, the band has enough emotion and energy to fill up a whole arena” (Jonas Persson, Festivalphoto.net)."

Some bands are on a mission to save the world, other bands form their image before they’ve even written their first song. Wasted Shells philosophy is pretty simple: A thrash-metal band put together to kick ass and write cool songs. Music first. The way it should be. Always. /Wasted Shells, September 2011
